B.J. Smith

B.J. Smith’s spirit of serving others compelled him to launch a successful career in the blood banking industry.

Since 1993, he has held various management-level positions with well-respected nonprofits, focused on contributing to the health and well-being of the community.

A proud veteran of the U.S. military with a BBA and MBA, Smith currently serves as Carter BloodCare’s Chief Operating Officer, where he leads operations and multiple services for one of the largest nonprofit community blood centers in the state.

He also continues to give back to the community through leadership roles on many industry boards.

Smith excels in his position, holding great appreciation for the team members who deliver on Carter BloodCare’s mission every day.
