Transfusions every 21 days help Daniel cope with genetic blood disorder
Since birth, 6-year-old Daniel Wendler has been battling a genetic blood disorder called beta thalassemia major.
In order for Daniel to live a full and healthy life, he must undergo a blood transfusion every 21 days. While this illness is lifelong, his fellow Texans who regularly donate blood at Carter BloodCare, have given Daniel and his family hope.
